In the culinary world, mint is universally prized as a useful herb that can spruce up just about any dish – be it an appetizer, entree or dessert. In fact, mint can also add a refreshing zest to just about any drink. This month, discover two deliciously minty recipes. The best part about them is that you just need to ‘throw’ everything together and mix!
Minty citrus dressing
2 tbsp Olive oil
1 ½ tsp Lime juice
1 ½ tsp Fresh cilantro, chopped
½ tsp Garlic
1 tsp Fresh mint, chopped
½ tsp Lemon juice
½ tsp Salt
- Gather all the ingredients and put them in a bowl.
- Mix well and serve immediately or chilled.
This dressing pairs well with chicken or fish, and it can also be used as a salad dressing
1 stalk Lemongrass
2 pieces Preserved plum
1 litre Soda water
½ Lemon juice
2 Lemon slices
½ cup Ice
1 tsp Sugar syrup
A handful of mint leaves
- Place all the ingredients in a jar or punch bowl.
- Stir well and serve immediately.
