Need a delicious healthy meal for the family? This classic combination will please even the fussiest eaters.

Whipping up a meal for a family can be problem when you’ve got fussy eaters at home. It’s also a challenge to put together a meal that is both healthy and delicious.  This month, we’ve got two classic recipes that everyone will love —  roast chicken with potatoes and vegetables as sides!



6 pieces                Whole chicken legs (300-350g per piece)

8 tbsp                    Olive oil

25 g                       Fresh rosemary

25 g                        Fresh lemon thyme

2                              White Onions

1                              Lemon

5                              Cloves of garlic

Pinch of kosher salt and ground black pepper


  1. Wash and dry chicken thoroughly before marinating.
  2. Marinade chicken with the above ingredients (except for the lemon) overnight or for at least 3 hours.
  3. Rub salt and ground black pepper on each chicken leg.
  4. Squeeze lemon onto the chicken pieces. Place the squeezed lemon on a baking pan alongside the chicken.
  5. Roast at 200ᵒC for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Serve immediately.




2                              Russet potatoes (you can also switch to sweet potato, pumpkin or cocktail potatoes)

4 tbsp                    Olive oil

10 g                        Dried rosemary

Pinch of kosher salt and ground black pepper


  1. You can peel the potato skins or leave the skins on (make sure you brush the skins clean)
  2. Cut potatoes into cubes (approx. 1.5cm x 1.5cm)
  3. Drizzle olive oil onto potatoes then sprinkle dried rosemary, pepper and salt. Rub evenly on potatoes.
  4. Roast at 200ᵒC for 1 hour and serve immediately.
