So what are the stars eating?
- Madonna: Coconut water
The Queen of Pop is hooked onto a drink called Vita Coco. She stays hydrated with the all-natural, electrolyte-infused and nutrient-packed coconut water. You can do so too – living in a tropical country has its advantages; you don’t have to buy coconut water in Tetra Paks but right off the roadside stall along with the sweet juicy white coconut flesh too!
- Jennifer Aniston: Energy water
The popular Friends series actress is a fan of the specialised, enhanced water called Smart Water. Aniston publicly prefers it over the plain old mineral water. Although Smart Water isn’t available in Malaysia, you could get similar vapour-distilled, electrolyte-infused bottled water from major pharmacies and specialised health stores. This type of advanced water is believed to make its drinker less lethargic, so you can try finding a bottle at your local health store.
- Gwyneth Paltrow: Wellness snack bars
Gwyneth Paltrow is widely known as the health-foodie and she sees wellness snack bars as “something great to have on hand for those times when I’m on the go and need a quick snack to hold me over”. Kelly Osbourne and Orlando Bloom are also into wellness snack bars too. Not only are the wellness snack bars very easy to get, they’re also especially perfect to be eaten when you’re in a hurry and have no time to have a proper, elaborate breakfast meal.
- Salma Hayek: Cleansing juice
The sultry actress started her own company selling healthy cleansing juice called Cooler Cleanse. The juice is said to help its drinker jumpstart a diet routine and allows some weight loss. Edward Norton, Natalie Portman, Oprah Winfrey and Demi Moore also share Salma’s interest in the juice. You might not find Cooler Cleanse here but there are plenty of the health juices around which would deliver the same health benefits.
- Kim Kardashian: Organic crunchy chips
Kim Kardashian munches on organic crunchy chips that contain only 100 calories with no preservatives, no trans fats and no artificial sweeteners. The chips also come in many flavours just like regular potato chips. Heidi Klum, Ashton Kutcher, Sarah Jessica Parker and The Biggest Loser hard-hitting trainer Jillian Michaels also munch on this healthy snack.
Now you can snack smart and snack like a star too without feeling guilty, as long as you don’t overdo it.
