5 Fun Ways To Lose Weight (Without Dieting!)

Here are 5 weight loss methods based on fun workouts that fit easily into your daily routine. The best part? You will lose plenty of weight without having to go on a strict diet!

#1 HAVE A WORKOUT BUDDY                                                       

Do you feel bored and uninspired when you work out alone? Then, grab a friend or even better, a whole group of pals and ask them to be your workout buddies. Working out with others keeps you motivated especially on the days when you find it a little difficult to get that bottom off the coach!

Tip: Create a bond between your workout buddies by incorporating a variety of calorie-burning recreational activities and games such as badminton, soccer or even a jungle trekking trip that can double up as an exercise routine.

#2 WALK YOUR PET

You can easily spend hours playing catch with your dog and petting it but your workout session lasts no more than 10 minutes. Isn’t that weird?

According to research, one of the most effective ways to achieve your goal is to incorporate a personal interest or hobby into it. Take your beloved dog for a walk or a jog and use this opportunity to spend quality time with your furry friend. It is also a great way for you to relieve stress and most importantly burn off calories as well.

Tip: If your schedule permits, take your pet for a walk twice a day. It helps to calm your pet and works as a great calorie-burning routine for you too.

#3 KEEP ON DANCING

Do you tap your feet and bob your head when catchy tune plays on the radio? If you enjoy music and dancing, get groovy by compiling a list of your favourite songs. Make sure the song list lasts at least 20 to 30 minutes. Then, all you need to do is play it on your mp3 player or blast it out on your stereo. Put your dance skills to the test and sweat it out in the privacy of your own home or invite your friends over for a dance off and get those calories burning!

While your eyes are glued on to the television, work on increasing your metabolism rate and building some muscles with simple but effective workout moves such as dumbbell curls, squats, chair dips and lunges.

Tips: Use the advertisement break as an indication to switch to your next workout move. Also, alternate your routine with weights and cardio for a more effective session.

#5 EXERCISE WITH BABY

If you are a mother, you will definitely understand what a big challenge it is to make time for a workout! Even if you manage to find some time, it is usually a few snatched minutes here and there. A good solution to this dilemma is to try working out with your lil’ one. An example is the straddle stretch. Simply sit on the floor and stretch your legs into a ‘V’ position. Place your baby on the floor directly in front of you and reach towards her, giving her a peck on the cheek each time. This is a fun way to get into shape while spending time with your cutie pie.
